The Volatile Organic Vapour Condenser (VOVC) was developed for removing condensable organic compounds from factory emissions.
The solid precipitates or condensates of these compounds resemble fluids like oil and grease and often appear as a plume above the exhaust stack. Water vapour, which serves as a carrier for organic vapours and particles, is also effectively removed by the filter. The unit also serves as a very efficient fire trap and will prevent a fire from spreading beyond the unit.
