Unplasticized Poly Viny Chloride (UPVC) is a rigid plastic pipe suitable for water and effluent reticulation applications for a maximum fluid temperature of 60 deg C. UPVC is corrosion resistant and compatible with a wide range of chemical oxidants making it ideal for water treatment and chemical handling applications. It is suitable for installation above and below ground and is easily to install with standard solvent welded fittings. UPVC will discolor and become brittle with prolonged exposure to sunlight. It is recommended to paint exposed pipe with a UV stable paint to prolong its service life.
