A2V in partnership with Flowline supplied and installed a containerised water treatment plant to treat 3.5kLPH water from the Van Stadens River to potable standards. The estate was previous suplied by the municipality but with ongoing water shortages due to the prolonged drought the estate was left with no other alternative but to invest in their own water treatment plant.
The treatment process comprises conventional flocculation and settling followed by zeolite filtration and disinfection by chlorine. We used one of our very economical 2.3m diameter flat bottomed clarfiers for this application.
After a four year drought, the week we installed on site the heavens opened and the site turned into a muddy bog!
