A2V in joint venture with Conns Water and Sopura, designed and installed a water treatment system to remove iron and manganese from borehole water using a catalytic filter media called DMI-65.
The plant is design to treat 40m3/hr fed directly directly from the borehole pumps via the system to a reservoir. Chlorine dioxide, produced by a generator on site, is used as the preferred oxidant and disinfectant to minimize the risk of chlorine byproduct formation. In line pH adjustment is critical for optimum manganese removal.
This was a turnkey project including civil and building works.
