A2V designed, supplied and installed a water treatment plant to treat borehole water from two existing boreholes on the site to potable standards.

The system uses a specialized filter media (DMI65) to remove oxidised iron and other metals from the water. Chlorine dioxide is used as the oxidant and disinfectant of choice due to there being no risk of the formation of chlorine byproducts (TCAs) which could affect the wine negatively.

The existing infrastructure was reused as far as possible in order to keep the cost of the system to a minimum. The plant was commissioned in November 2014.
